Can you tell from this angle? I thought the only distinguishing feature was the badge on the back... and the extra exhaust tips. I can never tell an 840 from 850.
OTOH, you are Ash-the-all-seeing, so I yield to your X-ray vision.

Just assuming, since it works with the song :)
Plus the 840 was the V8 version.

Yeah, the exhaust tips are different on an 840 due to the M60/M62 V8 they used. My mechanic had an 840 for awhile; was his dream car. He’s back in a GM these days, though.
Song? “Hot Rod Beemer”
It’s got a M62
motor and it’s really souped up
Those flared nostrils
make
it look like a pup
It’s got eight cylinders, uses them all
It’s got overdrive, just won’t stall
With fuelie intake
and a long-tube
exhaust
With 2.8
1 gears you can really get lost
It’s got Takata airbags
, but I ain’t scared
The brakes are good, tires fair

Dodge Avenger with a spare tire. I haven’t seen an avenger in years. Clearly they didn’t hold up well.

I looked back when I went by. Yes, it is V12 awesomeness.

I figured. I have a hard time telling them apart, without seeing the back.
